Introduction
This is the read aloud revival, and in this short episode, i'm answering one of your questions. I have an emerging reader who's just beginning to enjoy reading chapter books for fun. You don't need to worry overmuch about a your read aloud, or your kids reading dovetailing with your history studies. A lot of good thinking that happens when our kids are readers happens not because we're making connections for them but because they're doing it themselves.
