The Tang dynasty came to power in the early six hundreds. They took over from a previous dynasty which had done the heavy lift. The second suey emperor really overstretches wat what he can do. He sends out very, very large with probably about 300 thousand troops. And of course, if you sent that many people out, it takes a bit of a hit on the treasury and people were rebelling against that.
