Interconnection Is a Big Thing in Your Book, Jean Lidloff

Interconnection is a big thing in your book. And I wonder how that relates to that sort of primary evolutionary need, you know? Sure. When a baby elephant is born, when a man goes into labor, the mother elephant stand around in a circle. That's determined by evolution. Now human beings also have evolutionary determined experiences and needs. People might say, expectations, although these expectations are not conscious. We evolved not as individual, disconnected, isolated, aggressive, competitive, mutually hostile creatures but in small band hunter-gatherer groups where life was communal. So we suffer because we have caught far away from our evolutionary nature.
