The only thing that would make the immigrant population not solidly republican on day one is that they don't feel the republicans are on their side. Republicans could sell the hell ond of that. They have to get talked out of it. If your argument is that bringing in the two million immigrants undercuts the low end employment in this country, there's no data to support that at the moment. And the moment that changes, because it will, right? Economies are cyclical. The moment our employment becomes a problem, then you just reduce the amount of emigration. There is a sane path that everyone agrees on. Why aren't we picking it? It just has to be articulated
