Evolution by Natural Selection Explains Consciousness
Evolution by natural selection is now a mathematically precise theory. We don't have to guess, we can use evolutionary game theory to prove theorems. The language of objects in space and time is simply the wrong language to describe objective reality - whatever that reality might be. Space-time and its objects are not fundamental reality. Neurons do not exist when they are not perceived. So neural activity cannot possibly generate consciousness. Evolution explains that our standard way of framing this question misunderstands the theory of evolution itself.
