The Importance of Having a Conversation About LGBT Issues at School
Growing up in a suburban conservative home, LGBTQ issues couldn't talk about those at school. A lot of my writing has been trying to deal with that sort of situation. I actually broke into mainstream media in 2010 with the series, The For The Guardian. There was no meaningful conversation about LGBT issues in our school because of section 28. And we were still, you know, largely invisible within mainstream media, I think.
