The united states was a governing militarily at least parts of the philippines and fighting up and down the archipelago from 18 99 to 19 13. It's the second longest war in us History. And it's a war that was deeply one sided in terms of the death counts. Forty 200 us. Soldiers died. Estimates of thephilippino death toll, mostly from disease caused by the heaval of the war,. ranged from 200 thousand to a million or more.
