The De-Growth of Marks in Japan

Japan I think being the place where a de-growth book kind of explodes I think makes a lot of sense and so anyway this book I would characterize as a highly academic, highly sort of lit reviewy book that reviews various different debates on marks. Cyto claims that late in life in the 1860s and in 70s marks basically abandons his particular sort of like 1840s German ideology vision of historical materialism to become what he calls a "de-growth communist" He argues that no marks realize that productive forces under capitalism are wholly shaped by the capitalist production which means they can't be used for socialism.
