The Unity of Virtue

The most important point about the unity of virtue is not just that you can't have one without having them all. You can't settle what courage requires of you without figuring wat benevolenct requires of you, and vice versa. Each one has some sort of provisional content to begin with, but as you work out the details, there is a kind of mutual adjustment to come with their content. But if those two are standing in relation to reciprocal determination, that means that in filling in one, you also have to fill in the other.
