Mxmtoon is an American singer-songwriter, YouTuber and TikToker. She first made a name for herself playing the ukulele on social media, acquiring millions of streams and followers in the process . Since then Maia has released her debut album The Masquerade (2019) and her most recent album 'Rising' (2022). We spoke with mxmtoon about the new album Rising, how she fell into songwriting, how her sound has changed over time, dealing with success and pressure, acknowledging your feelings, the notion of mortality, and a lot more!
