Napoleon's Battle in Vienna
Napoleon entered the city that evening and set himself up in the schunbrun palace, the summer residence of the hapsburg emperors. vienna wasn't of any huge strategic value, but it did have one significant asset: several bridges over the river danube. The austrians were prepared to hold these crossings as long as possible, then blow them up to deny them to the french. So pera, there would be a battle in vienna after all.
