IEA director-general Farthi says the agency's role is to analyze the state of the world and advise governments. The IEA published a 10-point plan for Europe on how it can wean itself off Russian gas last year, spurring huge investments in clean energy across the continent. "I believe when we look back 10 years from now, we will see that it was a major milestone in the history of energy," he said.
