The Cost of Immediate Postpartum Placement
40 to 57% of women report having unprotected intercourse before the routine six week postpartum visit. Ovulation occurs at a mean of 39 days postpartum in women who are not breastfeeding and can occur as early as 25 days putting postpartum women at risk for unintended pregnancies. There's one issue here with immediate postpartum placement before they go home from the hospital, but I'm not telling what it is just yet.
