"It seems like a reverse form of like divination and occultism," he says. "I wouldn't say it's the same thing, but there is kind of a similarity." He adds that both are certainly of course condemned by God. And people seem to think this practice is more superior because they connect with God in such a deeper way than someone who follows contemplative prayer.
