Dissociative identity disorder is a new term for multiple personalities. People get diagnosed with that after going through the most severe, typically childhood abuse you could ever go through. So if your mom had that, that means she also must have been severely abused as a child, I'm guessing. She was sexually abused. And actually it was the opposite for me. I became a protector, not a predator. That's why we've done what we've done.
