The Republican Party's View on Health Care

The Republican Party has never prioritized a coverage expansion or any kind of significant expansion of health care coverage outside of maybe the Medicare Part D expansion under Georgia W. Bush. And what you're seeing now is a sort of new reality for Republicans in which the argument is not over whether it should be the government's job to be funding health insurance, but how it should be doing that.
