Is There a Difference Between the Suburbs and New York City?

I think I felt that a little bit more starkly maybe than others because the last few times that I visited New York, I had stayed over at my parents place in New Jersey. It's really pretty close to Manhattan, maybe like a 3040 minute Uber ride or something. So then we would be in the middle of the city, the hustle and bustle of it all. Then we would take the Uber back home and I kind of felt like as soon as you crash that bridge, it's just like really pretty quiet, especially when you start turning into our little neighborhood. That's all I hear. Like, I don't hear any honking or anything like that.
