The Need for Touch in Middle School

For many kids, it can be really comfortable to like, hug up on each other ways. You don't just reach over and put your hands in somebody's hair, or, can you give me a piggy back? Or how about a hug? Like, there are pretty normal ways that you can ask. If you're able to verbalize that for your kid and model that, they'll become good at expressing where their boundaries are with other people.
