The Difference Between Hip Hop and Rap
Hip hop has all the cultural elements including one's lifestyles and experiences what you wear it's your attitude I think Cara's one legendary hip hop artist he put it the best by saying rap is something you do and hip hop is something you live. When rappers delight came out in 1979 that was the first time hip hop had been commercialized and made for the masses. That actually set up this big divide in hip hop because there were these a lot of crews who had been doing it for a long time so they almost felt like they had to go back and retrain themselves to do this more elementary version of what they were doing.
