Allusion to Mount Zion and the Temple
In Mark's version of this parable, it says he sent his beloved son. That is a nice allusion to the story of Abraham and Isaac. Notice that they cast him out of the vineyard. This is going to mirror what happens to Jesus. And there's no mention of a burial of the son in Matthew.
