Every single person has access both to the best ideas in the world. It's called the internan, and production and distribution tools are to, you know, share their ideas with the world as equal participants. What we don't necessarily have is a good system of curation for irrelevance and high quality. And interintellectt is designed to be a platform of really high quality discovery. I so, you know, any person who wants to have an interactive life of the mind, they may no longer be satisfied with just reading or listening to wat guests, no ofence to any of our listeners. A, but they want to actually be there and engage. A, we give them an opportunity to do that. Im, you know, thisis, i like to say that inyor intellect, in its earliest incarnation, was completely different. I had no idea this was what people wanted. I had a strong intuition. And i looked at my own experience as a serial imigrant living in london, commuting two really terrible jobs at five a m on the underground, reading books and just feeling reatly dissatisfied. I wanted to have conversations. I was not happy just reading books and then listening to the author talking, you know, in knew to but i gat the book. I had ideas. I felt that gokili's book was written for me. I'm how how can i engage with the author or other people who have read it? Im, but he knew i lived in a place that was very strongly defined by a class and, you know, locals versus immigrants. And i thought, that's not natural. That's not how people actually feel. People are looking for like minded friends or friends who ange them, who like, you know, who are just as obsessed with their own curiosity as they areand so i was looking for ways to connect them, but it took me a couple of years still to figure out how. So when people ask me, i oh, how is it that, you know, so many people try it, doing a salon's business, and you manage to do it? Well, you know, i had no idea that this would be my business. I just kept asking people, what do you need? What do you nee? What you need? Have i right in what i think you need? I and ther just really deeply listening to that.
