Is There a Mindfulness Effect on Grief?
All sensation goes through your thalamus, including purely internal ones. The more you resist the pain and wish you could problem solve it, you end up in a state of ford and escape. Mindfulness actually is a better solution than narcotics for pain. So then you have to be willing to feel it. And that's what normal, healthy grieving looks like. People who can't accept discomfort, who can't let themselves feel a negative emotion, end up with complicated bereavement.
