The Conservative Party's Position on Oil and Gas
Labour leader Kierstammer has said that Labour wouldn't issue any new oil and gas licenses if it were to win power. But then he got quite a lot of flack, didn't he, from some unions, some industry folk who said that this could have a huge impact on jobs? There is one field in particular at the heart of this debate, and that is the Rosebank field about 80 miles or so west of the Shetland Islands. That is clearly now a dividing line emerging with the Prime Minister very obviously and the Conservative Party in favor of exploiting that.
