The Future of Semantic Parsing

The idea of going from text or some like informal representation to a formal representation is still very relevant today. I think semantic parsing has essentially become language to code and that language and code models are much more general than just semantic parsers. You can do all kinds of other things like, you know, bulk checking and documentation and all these kind of software engineering type tasks,. They're not solved, but you can do them and that's pretty amazing. So I think that actually all the goals of semantic parsing are still alive and well. It's just in this new, new appearance and I think that's great actually.
