Can We Override Our Genetics?

In principle, we can override our genetics. It doesn't mean that we will or that it's necessarily easy. But there is always a way in which our minds can create an explanation to enable us to recognize an instinct or an impulse or a desire as such. We can morally choose, we can decide, is it a good thing to just do what the genetics or what the culture says to do or not? Mm-hmm.
