Harvard Has a Lot of Smart People

Harvard has been in the business of denigrating the whole concept of the best and brightest for many years now. The meritocracy is sort of under a cloud, but they could just say, well, you know, we're going to use other criteria. And what it all boils down to is this chronic situation, this chronic problem, which is that blacks lag in their test scores behind the test scores.
