Long termism is the view that positively influencing the long term future is a key modal priority of our time. One thing that brought me round and made intuitive this idea was starting to see concern for future generations as something like the next stage of moral progress. And why do we not think very much about future generations? Well, insignificant. I think it's because they're utterly disfranchised in the world to day. You know, they can't vote in or elections.
