A System Is a Way to Formalize Your Learnings
I don't think everyone uses a system, but i do think almost everybody learns. Like as a child, i was horribly awkward and ntaverted, like i was not one of the cool kids. And whether i have some system or not, i've still just spent year after year after year talking to people. And that's practice. Without a formal system, you can still get better.
