Communicating in Layman's Terms
When are the buzz words important? And when should we scale back? She's thanks so much for this question. For me, it's all about the audience. Who is the audience that you're communicating to? I always try to go on the assumption that, unless i know for sure otherwise, that people don't all know the background of what i'm communicating. So rather than using jargon, acronyms, insider language jokes, whatever, i always try to explain things as much as i possibly can.
