I think that the writer really just made a mistake, really screwed up. I totally agree with you for that project where you were saying that she shouldn't mention the name of her friend. A jerk doesn't really apologize or feel bad. So to me, it makes me feel like she's not really a full jerk. She just made amistake. But she knows that she made a mistake and she really screwed up."
