Archaeologists can look at the points at a place like monteverde and say, ok, well, that doesn't look at all like clovis. But could they be historically reated? We have no way of telling, right? Just a couple of different kinds of rocks, and they're separated by two thousand years and several thousand miles. If we could get a genome of a pre-clovis person, we would know for sure what the relationship was between pre clovis and clov is.
