The Rise of the Short Term Rental Market

Short term rentals started out while they've been around for a long time, but they really became entered with the level of prevalence that they're at today around the Great Recession. In some places like Flagstaff, for instance, it's closer to 90% of all the short term rentals are the entire home. And so when you have that, that really cuts off the market. They cater to visitors, cater to a short term, locking desire instead of long-term residence.
