The Canadian Government Interpretation of the Emergencies Act

The Emergencies Act was invoked in Canada on February 25th, 2022. The act is not specifically about blockades or rendering service to people who are using their property for the purpose of blockades,. But it does contain a provision that requires the government to hold an inquiry and table a report within 360 days after expiration or revocation of the Declaration of Emergency. A public inquiry has now delivered its final report on the public order emergency. It will soon be available on the Public Order Commission's website.
