Eight Tips for Trading Iron Butterflies
Rolling is one of my favorite things to do with iron butterflies. I like adjusting and going inverted on positions when it makes sense. It's a really clever way, again, to do something where you can take in a net credit. Just gives you a little bit more time to hopefully see the stock come back around inside of your range. And even if it doesn't come back around, i've reduced the risk in the position by collecting a credit on the roll.
