The First Half of Life
A church is a first half of life institution. It's what you can expect, its what you can count on. There's nothin it's very clean cut. Suffering is the bridge between the first and the second half of life most of the time. When we have suffered enough, we learn compassion. We start to see with new eyes. And i would say, probably the most important piece that i notice in people around me that are in the secondhalf of life is its very compassionate and it's very non judgmental.
