Kafka's the Stoker
Kafka's job was he was a lawyer working for a personal injury insurance company. His job was to mainly assess industrial small, you know, places I think people have chopped off their fingers in the machine and things for the payout. So he is continually going, interviewing workers who have been injured and dealing with the hierarchy - that's the basis of his job. This sort of scene just comes up again and again andagain and again. And the various anxieties of it, the inability of people to explain their circumstance,. People's passion, fear, the importance of it to them overcoming their ability to communicate in various ways. There are one or two benevolent characters in this book
