Roy Wood Sr. was an embedded reporter in pretty much every major conflict you can name from the 50s until the 70s. When he wasn't deployed doing that, he was running a black news network. Now me by comparison, I was on the radio giving away Jodicy tickets. So not necessarily dangerous. But what I did was try to do community involvement. My thing on the radio was just giving voice to people in the community and amplify their messages.
