There's no evidence to suggest that if you're a person with a thrifty pinotype who experiences these drops in energy expenditure during dieting, we have no reason to believe that doing anything to your energy expenditure at neutral energy balance or positive energy balance is going to do something. So for those reasons, i think one of the most popular applications of reverse dioting is kind of hard to justify from a theoretical basis. And then from an empirical basis, there's no Evidence to suggest, none that i'm aware of, that it actually works.
