Strength Training and Performance Oriented Benefits

strength training is so beneficial to running, in particular endurance running. We see improvements in running economy of between about two and eight % after two to three months of engaging with a strength training program. It's also quite strongly believed that we see a reduction in injury risk as a result of performing strength training over an extended period of time. There are bits and pieces of evidence floating arond that we see subtle changes in some cinomatic variables during the running action.
