How to Convert to a C-Corp

i feel like um the companies that you see that start is c-corps are typically like hey we got a pretty good idea and we already have backing before we've started so we're going to start as a c-corp. i personally have not had anybody how to do it yet but everything i've ever heard is  it's not as easy as you might think. You really have to dissolve the s-corp first right?
