Many reports of families feeling trapped, private landlords refusing Ukrainian tenants. From the conservative point of view, the scheme was beautifully elegant. It followed a Cameron play, but in the shifted responsibility of the state on to well meaning charitable British people. And then the more Johnson esque part was the intention to lead them in the lurch when the story dropped off the headlines. But if we're expecting this government to act humanely or plan for something longer than two weeks away,. Yeah, we're all for the birds.
