The Shadow of the Dead - A Ghost Story

Two months ago a group of friends went for a moonlight hike. They saw four stuffed dummies hanging by their necks from trees in the woods. The corpses were different somehow, they looked very much like actual dead bodies. A carriage came up to them and an old man climbed out dressed exactly the same way as when he had taken our friend away on Halloween. He turned to me and removed his top hat and invited me to go down the trail in style in the back of the coach. There would be no charge, I managed to speak then, just a few words.
