Rousseau's Social Contract Theory

Rousseau was condemned for putting forward views that strayed well outside the Calvinist faith. He had idealized Geneva as the polity with the closest thing to an ideal just equitable political structure. After 14 months in Stratford Shire, Rousseau returned to Paris and would spend his last 20 years of life or so there. His work from this time even shows paranoia in regard to his old friends like Diderot.
