How Can Labels Handle the Disruption?

Music retales were by far the most disrupted component of the music industry. Labels have taken a bigger role in retailing when this disruption occurred. But instead, new companies took this opportunity. I think what we see across the media industries are that the winners are the companies that try to improve on what ther offering consumers. And the companies that have had the roughest time are those that have tried to really fight against helping consumers use technologies to have an improved experience.
