The History of the Assamis People

In the past, sometime in the past thousand or so years, some of them migrated into what is now Assam in India. And they obviously assimilated into the population that already lived there. Their descendants are the group that are now called the Assamis people. They were neither Buddhist nor Hindu, you know, if you want to make a distinction. The peoples of this region all had polytheistic belief systems.
