Aircraft Carriers - Part Two in Hot Water
Aircraft carriers have become much more popular in this region. China has launched three so far and almost certainly more to come. Japan is converting one of its amphibian ships into a mini aircraft carrier that will carry vertical takeoff fighters. South Korea also has ambitions in this area, although the new government shows some tendency to pull away from this. The US would have to bring the fight to them right across the entire Pacific Ocean.
