The best thing to do is I get them to put their back against usually like a smith machine or if you've got a wall ideally it's more like a corridor wall. When your arms go down or up the sides of the bar are not touching against anything so elbows are tugged in they go down slowly so like a slow 3 seconds and then they go up quickly. Then you give them a number so obviously anywhere between 10 to 15 reps because really what you're looking at is do they have the ability to do at least 3, 4, 5 without any symptoms and can they repeat more?
