How to Write a Word Portrait
I think there is a, there are really a couple stages to writing. And the first one is, I think you should write everything down. The small things, the little gestures, the person sitting next to you in the cafe, the kind of ice cream you're eating, all of those details are what make a really rich portrait. One thing that's been so interesting to me is I just decided to transcribe all my journals. So I used to keep a journal pretty religiously from about the age of 19 until my late 30s kind of 40-ish.
