What's the Craziest Thing in Early M&A Integration?
The most puzzling, craziest thing I've seen in M&A was where I was getting to know a communications team immediately after the deal signed. This positioning was unclear, and it made to a really rocky start amongst leaders and teams. The first large M&A deal that I did some integration program manager work on was two companies of similar size merging. And so it's what are we going to call the company? We spent months, time and money figuring out which brand name worked better in the market.
