The Importance of Collaboration in the Construction Industry
An independent report interrogating the disaster led by Judith Hackett concluded that a radical rethinking of the construction industry's approach to fire safety was needed. In April earlier this year the Association for Project Safety or APS and the Institution of Engineering and Technology or the IET co-hosted an event designed to facilitate that innovation. One of the teams that took part in the hackathon had named themselves fired up. Hayun Chung and Benjamin Ralph from the team were delighted when at the end of the hackathon they were crowned the winning team for their ideas.
